1. What keeps you up late at night?
West coast TV feeds, blogging, Tweeting, reading. I will probably pack it in after posting this, however, as 5:00 a.m. comes way too soon.
2. Do you collect anything?
Lately I have been indulging a bit in building up my collection of Sarah’s Angels figurines. I also have a collection of rare, first editions of poetry books (my highbrow collection) and a stash of Beanie Babies from the late ’90s and early 2000′s (decidedly lowbrow, as well as worthless from a collector’s standpoint).
3. Are you addicted to Angry Birds?
I’ve heard of that game from the Twizzlers. DS8 has access to an iPad at school and is allocated time during the school day to play Angry Birds as a reward for classroom compliance.
4. What’s your idea of a perfect evening?
Sitting in a rented house, on a beach, the window wide open and the curtains blowing gently in the breeze, a bottle of wine on the table and two or three lit, scented pillar candles filling the room with their warmth and comforting scent. (I have a deep affection for PartyLite candles, and no I was not paid to say that.) I might have some music playing in the background while working on my writing.
5. Are you looking forward to winter?
Yes, and no. I never had an interest in winter sports such as skiing or snowboarding, but Christmas is my favourite holiday, and it looks as though we will be spending New Year’s in Toronto with friends. (Did somebody say “open bar”?)
