Two weeks ago, when I read that Google was releasing an IT Support certificate on Coursera, I jumped at the chance. They were offering financial assistance up until the deadline of February 20, so I applied as soon as I heard about the program. A week later, and I was approved for financial assistance! I feel very fortunate because they were only offering financial assistance for 10,000 applicants.

I plan on having this certification done by the time I start fall semester. I am so grateful for a program like this – initially I was considering taking an IT course at CCSF, but decided to hold off on it because I don’t qualify for the ’17-’18 FAFSA (still considered a dependent!)
